Our Culture

We never forget where we came from.

We own outcomes, not just actions

We win together

We believe character and trust supersede sales

We see challenges as opportunities

We support each other through all times

We do what we say we will do, but strive to do more

Despite Personify’s rapid growth, our culture has remained humbly rooted in our commitment to our Core Values. Our Core Values shape every aspect of our culture – from how we work with each other and our clients to how we overcome obstacles and celebrate success; simply stated, it’s #howiPFY.

Because we believe that expanding the decision-making power to different levels of the organization is one of the best ways to maintain company morale and drive innovation, our committee structure is also an integral part of Personify’s culture. There are five employee-led committees tasked with championing specific initiatives and developing organization-wide solutions to help Personify be in an ongoing state of improvement while maintaining an environment that promotes our employees to be the best versions of themselves.

Because we believe to whom much is given – much is expected, Personify’s Outreach Committee plans company-wide days of service and regular volunteer opportunities for our employees to give back to the local community. Its mission is to establish and foster alliances with both local and global organizations that will aid the company in its overall goal to nurture positive connections both internally and externally.

Our Diversity & Inclusion Committee is responsible for laying the foundation to promote Diversity through partnerships, best practices, and education while building an inclusive work environment that celebrates individual differences. DE&I is an important issue that we all need to work hard to address. We believe an inclusive workplace is good for our people, our company, and society at large. Like many companies, we are a work-in-progress on DE&I, but our goal is to be a leader among our peers on this topic.

To this end, there are a variety of activities and initiatives we are working on, including:
– Employee-led Diversity and Inclusion committee
– Guest speakers representing diverse groups (African American, LGBTQ, special needs, etc.)
– Diversity and Inclusion strategies to create more inclusive searches
– Local market outreach, including recruitment efforts at local HBCUs
– Voluntary employee self-identification survey to better understand our own diversity
– Monthly/weekly diversity learning sessions
– Engagement with employee resource groups at client organizations

At Personify, we welcome all with open arms.

Our Wellness Committee is dedicated to empowering employees with the tools to make healthy decisions based on their personal needs and goals. They strive to promote a work environment where healthy behaviors are encouraged and supported by running our Fitness Reimbursement program that provides all employees with a monthly stipend for gym memberships. Its vision is to create a wellness culture where every employee has a diverse set of tools and resources to live a healthy and balanced life.

The Work Hard, Play Hard Committee is in charge of upholding our Core Values and promoting employee recognition, which includes giving out quarterly Core Values awards to employees who have gone above and beyond in exhibiting #howiPFY. Its vision is to progress the company’s level of engagement and cohesiveness quarter by quarter. In addition, this committee helps maintain our unique Personify spirit year-round by planning team-building events and company outings, including our Personify Olympics every year, and our month-long holiday festivities every December. Check out our social media pages to see how the Work Hard, Play Hard Committee helps make Personify one of the best places to work in the Triangle.

Our New Employee Onboarding (NEO) Committee manages our internal resource sharing database and mentorship program. It strives to provide a best-in-class new hire experience for all new employees joining the Mackenzie Ryan/Personify team and allow for each of our new team members to feel like they are a part of the family even before they walk through the front door.

In addition to Personify’s committee system, we also host quarterly town halls where everyone is given the opportunity to share ideas and suggest initiatives in an open forum style of discussion.

Personify’s growth, coupled with our recognition by the Triangle Business Journal as one of the Best Places to Work in the Triangle six times and as Triangle Business Journal’s #1 Executive Search Firm year after year since 2012 is evidence that our culture of being the vendor and employer of choice works for our employees and our clients.
